Computer Science Education Week

Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science.

Hour of Code

December 3-9

The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts. Check out the tutorials and activities. This grassroots campaign is supported by over 400 partners and 200,000 educators worldwide.

Disability Day

Disability Day is to encourage a better understanding of people affected by a disability, together with helping to make people more aware of the rights, dignity and welfare of disabled people, as well as raise awareness about the benefits of integrating disabled persons into every aspect of life, from economic, to political, to social and cultural. 

Help celebrate disability day by learning how to prevent bullying by making classrooms more inclusive and facilitating inclusive learning experiences.

World Soil Day

Celebrate the importance of soil as a critical component of the natural system and as a vital contributor to human well-being by exploring soil ecology in this activity or viewing the video-based learning module on soil ecology.

International Day of Veterinary Medicine

International Day of Veterinary Medicine dedicates itself to recognizing the field of medicine that keeps our friends alive, and the people who practice it. Celebrate by thanking your local veterinary and learning how to make connections to STEM careers
