Programmers' Day

September 13

Programming is one of the most in-demand skills in the world — and a high paying one, too. However, teaching youth the foundations of code can be a challenge, especially because the concepts are intangible and youth can become disinterested or frustrated if they’re unable to troubleshoot their mistakes. Websites like Tynker simplify programming by offering free coding games and lessons that help youth visualize how strings of code function, while also teaching the logic behind the codes.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Day for Kids

September 15

Day for Kids is a national celebration of the life-changing work happening at Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation, and a reminder that one day can change a child’s future. Visit the BGCA website to learn more. And learn how to prepare high-quality STEM activities for youth with Click2Science here
