What strategies do you see Gabby using that not only give youth voice but help her assess their understanding of the outcomes of the activity? (1:16 - 2:08)

How do you see the following areas modeled:  Listing of criteria, digging deeper to build out the criteria, and youth verbalizing levels of quality? (2:20 - 3:20)

How could developing a rubric with youth positively impact your faciliation skills?  How could you encourage youth to include STEM content in their rubric?
Frida Martinez's picture
Developing a rubric is vital so the actual time developing the project is reduced. It is important so all the materials are provided for the students can start working.

It helps the children to focus on the task at hand and gives them more authority over the activity.  This should make it easier for the instructor to implament the activity.
