As you watch the skill video below, think about these questions:

What are the staff doing? What are the youth doing? (0:13 - 0:59)

How does the adult frame the questions to encourage youth to dig deeper in their thinking? What does the youth do that helps process the learning? (1:05-1:23)

What does the staff person say that models observation? (1:25-1:38)

What are the different ways you saw staff modeling the engineering design process with youth? What else could they do?

Why is it important for youth to see staff modeling science and engineering processes?

It is important for youth to have guidance from an adult so they understand that there is steps to follow, to keep them engaged and lastly test and prove if any results found.

so they can see how it work and maybe they will want to try it out and it might be fun to them it is always good to demonstrate the project to the children first.
