Depending in the environment they were in there always seem to be a learning activity to do with the students. For example being in a botanical garden they not only did the penny activity but it was also a learning experience about frogs and where do tropical frogs live and and which ones are posionous. Students were able to explore new things and learn as they go. I really enjoyed the botanical garden example of how we can use that envirnoment to teach the students.
What role did the frontline staff have in the activity?  What role did the youth have?
What questions did you hear youth asking?  What questions did staff ask?
Could you have done these activities in your regular space?  What about these different spaces sparked interest and connected to the learning?
