Testing Predictions About Produce
An important part of the science process is allowing youth to make and record predictions then test those predictions to find the results. Mr. Allen encourages youth to use their senses to draw conclusions about whether produce is store bought or farm fresh.
Research suggests: Frontline staff and volunteers provide encouragement to keep trying and support to youth who try out new skills with imperfect results, errors, or failure and help them problem-solve and correct their mistakes. (SPQA)
